- To adjust to the end of federal economic stimulus funding to the states, WSC projects a need to cut the E&G budget by 5% in 09/10 and by another 5% in 10/11.

- The 2009-2014 Strategic Plan has a focus on increasing enrollment and retention. The goal is to increase the student headcount to 2,600 by 2014.

- Mark Todd reported that the newly created MFA in Creative Writing program has 18 students enrolled and that 93 students are enrolled in the MA in Education program. (All of these students received information literacy instruction prior to the fall semester.)

- A new Publishing Certificate will be offered in Fall 2011.

- State budget projections indicate some additional tightening will be required next year. If cuts must be made, the expectation is that they will come from someplace other than higher education.

- The senate voted to change from paper ballots to online voting.
