Graduate Education Scholarship

Available to:

Students fully admitted to the Graduate Program in the Education Department. Must be a degree-seeking student, demonstrate financial need, and must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

Dr. Donald P. Timm (B.A. ’52) through The Greater Milwaukee Foundation.

Amount:      

Eight to ten scholarships of up to $1,000 are available to students enrolled in the licensure year of  the program. Two to three scholarships of up to $500 are available to students who have earned their teaching license and are pursuing a Master's degree in Education.

Western Teacher Education Program Scholarship Selection Committee.

 Application: 

Complete and return a copy of the “Graduate Student Scholarship Application” by Aug. 1. Supporting documents required include:

  • Two letters of reference attesting to the applicant’s predicted success in the teaching profession.
  • A letter of application describing how the scholarship would support his or her education and future goals as an educator.
