New Business

Degree Works: Deb Clark gave a presentation to the committee about the Degree Works advising and graduation audit software. The Registrar’s office is currently having a number of administrative assistants test the product. Aspects of the program that are positive:
• Students should be about to “self-help” more in understanding where they are in their program, as well as major/minor options
• This product will also accept transfer credits
• Should cut down paperwork
Registrar’s office plans to make link available in January to faculty advisers. Then, to students in February before
registration. There will be a CTE on January 19 to introduce to faculty. Suggestion from the committee was to have Debra (or someone from her office) come to department meetings to show features specific to departments.
They will continue to do paper audits until further notice.
