GUE Cost & Payment Breakdown

Western LogoGUE Camp Dates

July 24 - July 29, 2012

GUE cost is $1,490 per participant and includes the following services and benefits:
Sage Burner_selig_rocks
GUE local, high altitude terrain @ Hartman Rocks.

  1. Daily high altitude training runs on variable terrain with well known ultrarunners (1-2 runs per day available)
  2. Massage therapy (1-2 x)
  3. Nutritional consult via a 3-7 day food diarly analysis with a dietician
  4. Core strength development and general strength training classes (1-2 sessions)
  5. VO2max (with treadmill & gas analysis) + lactate threshold assessment + expert one-on-one training consult
  6. Physical therapy (PT) injury evaluation and treadmill video gait analysis + consult with a PT
  7. Expert speakers (x 4-6 lectures) related to training, racing, hydration, food ingestion, sport psychology, injury prevention, recovery techniques, personal training and racing accounts by champion ultra runners, among other potential topics; note, some lectures may include more than one topic.
  8. Room - single or double occupancy dorm style rooms with shared bathroom (specify on registration form if you plan to room with a fellow runner/friend)
  9. Board - breakfast, lunch, & dinner in the new College Center @ Western State College of Colorado
  10. Organic cooking classes (x 1-2)
  11. Transportation to all trail/training runs in the Gunnison - Crested Butte, CO area
  12. Complimentary trail running shoes, training shirt and shorts (by Pearl Izumi/TBD) to all GUE participants if registered and paid in full by June 16, 2012.

Payment Due Dates

*Full payment due: June 16, 2012

*DISCOUNT: Receive a $100.00 discount off the full camp cost if you register and pay in full by April 15, 2012.

*Receive a $200.00 discount off the full camp cost if you decide to stay (room and board paid on your own) at a local resort or hotel and are registered and paid in full by June 16, 2012.

Note: all proceeds go to fee for services during the camp and to Western's Recreation & Exercise & Sport Science Department as a fund raiser for student-centered programs. Western is a non-profit entity.
