WordHorde
WordHorde brings together students, faculty, and community members who all share a passion for both the spoken and written word. Coordinated by students in the English program, Wordhorde offers bi-weekly open-mic events where a featured performer -- a local, regional, or sometimes nationally recognized author -- headlines an evening of poetry, stories, music, theatrics, and comedy.
Participation is open to anyone who wants to join in the celebration.
Upcoming Event
(Gunnison Arts Center -- Main & Tomichi)
Our annual spring two-round competition slam, and one the highlights of the year. We'll also offer a new event during that evening -- a haiku "face-off." The slam is limited to 20 contestants, and the haiku face-off is a separate entry. Contact Teresa Milbrodt or Mark Todd to get your name on the roster prior to the event.
