Celebration of Scholarship and Creative Work
Western State Colorado University Undergraduate Research Symposium
This event is an opportunity for WSCU students to present their research, as well as an opportunity for students and faculty to participate in a community of scholarship and to examine the connection between research and education. The symposium includes poster and oral presentation sessions by students from all academic disciplines and encourages interdisciplinary discourse, allowing students to learn from each other about a broad range of exciting research topics.All WSCU students involved in research are encouraged to participate. Even for those not presenting, the Symposium is a great way to learn about the broad range of scholarly and artistic opportunities available at WSCU.
- Oral Presentations: Tuesday, April 23 , 2013, 12:30-3:30pm
Where: Campus Center, Prosser Theater
- Poster Presentations: Thursday, April 25, 2013, 12:30-4:00pm
Where: Campus Center Ballroom, North Conference Room, and South Conference Room
Abstracts:
The deadline for submission of abstracts is Wednesday, April 3 by 4:00 pm.
Abstracts should be no more than 150 words. Submit abstracts electronically through the Celebration of Scholarship Webpage at http://www.western.edu/academics/cos You must complete all fields in the abstract submission form. If a field is left blank your abstract will not be accepted. An email confirmation will be sent to both the student and faculty mentor after successful abstract submission. If you do not receive a confirmation email, contact Robin Bingham or Christina Buchanan. Detailed guidelines for oral and poster presentations are available on the website. Please review and follow these instructions.
