At Western, I am involved with the Cross Country Team, tutor History 101 and 102, work at the Writing Center, and I’m involved with the Honors Program and the Academic Leadership Program. I’m also on the Dean’s List.

My favorite class and professor at Western was Macro Economics because I learned about our current economic situation and it was the hardest class I've ever had; Dr. Plante was great. But my overall favorite teacher is Dr. Vandenbusche -- a coach who inspires you to be your best in everything. You'll NEVER be late to a class.... I promise!

Western is the right place for me because it has EVERYTHING! I can trail run, rock climb, mountain bike, and ski! Besides all of that, you can't beat having teachers and faculty who truly care about you. I get the best education and the best location all in one.

One thing I learned about myself since coming to Western is to commit myself to the things I love and want to do most. Every fall I get a new personal record for every cross country race we have -- there's nothing like seeing improvement!

One thing that sets Western apart from other colleges is the location...literally! There are no cities or things associated with cities -- no Target, etc. It's nice to be in our own world of “Funnison!"

My favorite thing to do on campus is run Taylor hill with the Cross Country Team!

My favorite WSC tradition is the Men's Cross Country Team's naked library run during finals -- hahaha!

The one Western experience I will always remember will be when I was an Academic Peer Advisor and the first epic snow fall we had that winter. My residents and I went out to the big hill on the practice fields with anything we could find that would slide on snow! Someone even brought out a plastic blow up chair! Kids even brought out skis and snowboards and we were ‘jibbin.’ Best night ever!

When I have free time, I like to get outside and play!

My favorite restaurant in Gunnison or Crested Butte is The Bakery. After skiing, you can’t beat $1.00 slices of pizza!

After graduation, I plan to move to a beach, do the surf thing for a bit, and teach!
